What The Smoking Section Actually Is
The Smoking Section is a small storytelling circle built around a private Lux podcast.
Each month you’ll receive a 20-minute private audio episode from me—raw, Stripcast-style storytelling about my life and the lessons I’m learning in real time. Many of these stories will eventually become part of my next memoir.
Then once a month, we gather live for a 75-minute online storytelling circle.
The podcast sets the theme.
The gathering is where we talk about it.
You’re welcome to share a story of your own—or simply listen.
This is not a writing class.
You don’t have to be a “creative writer.”
It’s simply a room where women tell the truth about their lives—and someone actually listens.
Over ten months, the same small group will return again and again—listening, sharing, and witnessing one another’s stories unfold.
